Take them out for a nice lunch, bring them a little ornament and laugh about the good times! It usually does the trick :)

If it is an older person or someone who is not able to get out, They would enjoy someone who would
spend time with them
help bake cookie with them
bring over the newpaper or magizines and talk
play a board game or card game

be a great friend try to go out to the movies together, play card games or board games, bake or go shopping or even have lunch or dinner together. listen if the person needs to talk and be heard that will help them a lot
