Between five and six months they can sit up well or at least stat sitting for a little while with out any support, but all babies are different, as long as they are heathly and happy I wouldn't worry to much until they reach 7 months.

All babies are different, I have 3 children, the oldest sat on his own at 6 months, the second at 4 and a bit months and the youngest has just started to sit by herself at exactly 5 months.
Any help?

I just read about this today. It depends on the child but usually between 6 to 8 months. It also said that babies who tend to be more wabbly when sitting up are great at rolling over. My son is 6 months and can sit unasisted for short periods of time but still wabbles. He is great at rolling over though. He rolls all over the living room floor.

As all babies are different it can be any time from the early months but I think it is usually about 6-8 months. Something like that?

By 6 months a baby is sitting up or getting ready to sit up and his back is straightening out.

I am not sure what age most babies sit up on their own, but i believe it is around 6 months. For my twins, they were premature, one sat up around 6 months and the other not until 9 months. Every child is different and as long as the doctors say he/she is on track, i wouldnt worry to much. Good luck!!

all babies progress at different levels. My daughter started sitting up alone at around 6 months, however my friends son is sitting up by himself and he is just barely 5 months old

My first child was very late - more like 9 months and she didnt start to walk til she was nearly 17 months. But she could say loads of words at 12 months and spoke in sentences of 6 words at 18 months.

They are all different. But if you are worried see your doctor or health visitor.
