USS Fletcher, lead destroyer of her class went thru the whlole war, including a lot of the deadly night fighting around Guadalcanal, without losing a man.....

IJN destroyer Shigure was part of the Japanese Southern Task Force attacking up thru Suriago Straight in Oct of 1944 during our liberation of the Philippines.....they ran into 6 US battleships, (5 raised form the bottom of Pearl Harbor and rebuilt) 10 cruisers and 24 destroyers and a WHOLE BUNCH of PT boast...every Jap ship was either sunk or mortally damaged except Shigure, who mad it thru that night without a scratch
