I think it will be in the best interest of the Jewish people to educate their Muslim brethren in Palatine and Arabia, only educated people can live as a civilized society. The Question you are asking will never happen so it is better to pave the road for everlasting peace.

Hey lighten up people it IS a hypothetical, but why not ponder the different ideas even if they're just meant to be amusing (like mine!!! ;o)

OK, let's give Let's give the state of Louisiana to the jews and solve several big problems and have everyone win!! ;o)
Here's how:
If jews get Louisiana,

1) Louisiana would win:
they will built it back in way unimaginable. It would be a hot spot and it would be totally fixed up and fast. There will not be a trace of Katrina!

2) The Jews would win, b/c they'll finally and offically be a state of the United States (which they've basically been, but now it will be official)

3)The palestinians would win, b/c they'd get their land back. YES BACK and you're right to have said it that way. Just b/c the Native Americans were here first doesn't mean that they can come and murder us and kick us out of our homes and off our property and say that it was theirs. We would be the equivilant to the Palestinians and we wouldn't like it any more than they have.

4) World would win b/c there will finally be peace on Earth. The geniuses who took the Palestinians out of their homeland and handed it to the Israeli's never thought about what a dis-service they were doing to both people there. Neither would have peace, b/c people don't just take being oppressed and kicked out of their homes very lightly.
Although my proposal about Louisiana was meant as a joke, but the relief that would be felt for everyone is not a joke.
OK, so it's a wacky hypothetical and it's a wacky solution, but thank you for asking it, b/c the civil exchange of ideas even in fun, is better than fighting and hating.
GREAT question!

By handed back, I think what that is supposed to mean that the Jewish people left Israel to settle in Europe and other areas of the world. When they did that, the Arabs came in and took over (I guess through war, annexation, etc.). I don't think it was a huge issue until after World War II where they needed a place of their own. Nobody would accept them into their country, so the UN stepped in and gave them back Israel. Now, I could be wrong.

As for where they would go, I guess they'd be able to stay in Israel. Perhaps it would still be a giant, localized conflict but also there would be many leaving. Maybe not as one, so they'd emigrate to other countries, most likely the USA or Canada...and parts of Europe. Just guessing.

Where would they go? New Jersey. ;)

The state of Israel was an arbitrary creation using occupied lands in the Middle East. If the land were to be arbitrarily handed back to the Palestinians, I am sure there are many Israelis who would not leave. I would fear for their safety.

Those that did leave would have to do what refugees from any other place have to do every year: find a new home, a new livelihood, and a new life somewhere else. It would not be the end of the world. It would be chaotic and very trying, but not the end of the world.

I do not believe that Palestinians will let the Jewish people get away with it. I mean " how will the Palestinians forgive Israeli people????". I think that the majority of Palestinians will not let the Israelis go without paying price.

And if Israelis want to go back, they should head to Russia, and Europe in general.

The result: Palestinians will achieve the freedom they have always longed to get after long years of occupation, and they will walk from the Mediterranean Sea to Jordan River without getting annoyed by the Israeli barriers.

That will never happen because the Arabs would have to go through the UN before the land would be handed over
to them. The resulting consequences would be all-out war
worst than what is happening now in the Mid-East.

This question is as old as Ishmael and Isaac; the sons of Abraham-still haggling over the division of the Land. You can read all about it in the Bible....starting at Genesis 16........

You mean if Gaza and the West Bank were given to Palestinians? Israelis would live in the vast majority of Israel that would still be theirs.

It will not be handed over. Because they are a nation. No nation can be handed over to anyone. The arabs will try and get whooped again.
