Why does Merril Hoge hate Vince Young?

I agree with everything Merril Hoge said, and I've been watching VY for 3 years. Yet VY is successful. Always leaves me scratching my head. When he completes passes the receivers are wide open. When he runs, he always has a hole a Mack truck can go through. I haven't seen a one of his runs I couldn't have done myself.

Yet admittedly other QBs don't do the same things.

So it's always a mystery to me that his WRs can be that open and that he gets such huge holes at critical times in the game. I don't think any of Hoge's criticisms are incorrect, yet the results speak for themselves.

My conclusion: Vince Young has clearly sold his soul to the devil.

Because Merrill Hoge can no longer play! He has a "I wanna be like Mike" syndrome and it's eating him up inside! Seriously, Hoge is an idiot sometimes. I can't understand why he wouldn't like the guy.

i dont believe he hates vince young, it just seems that vince young is crying alot about little injurys that arent that bad. he said he wasnt even sure if he would play today in the playoffs!! any good QB would be out there playing as hard as they could in playoffs. Collins had been to the Superbowl with the Giants when they lost to the Ravens, and has the kinda of mind to know when to make the right play. but hes not a everyday starting QB. vince young is a good QB and in the future could be one of the greats.....just not know.

Not sure why he hates him..but i think Vince is making him eat his words..so all his bad mouthing will come to a stop sooner or later and he will be praising him as if he never had a bad thing to say.
