I think they richly deserve it. They manipulated intelligence to support the war in Iraq, rather than remaining focused on terrorism and Bin Laden. That's called lying to the American public, the House and the Senate, so they could wage war on a country Bush was obsessed with and talking about from his first day in office. I get the biggest kick out of those who point to Clinton's lying about a sex act and seriously try to compare it to a lie that has gotten thousands killed and maimed. To make matters worse, in the effort to do what he pleases, Bush in particular has made a mockery of the Fourth Amendment.

But, impeachment will not happen. As much as I believe they deserve it, and so do millions of other Americans as well, it just isn't viable to waste Congress' time on impeachment proceedings when we have a crisis in the Middle East and terrorism to deal with on a very real basis. We've wasted enough time dealing with the demagogue who sits in the Oval Office. He has no choice now but to abdicate his throne, sit in a regular chair like any elected official, and work on a bipartisan level. I'm afraid that no matter what he deserves, this is the most that can and will be done. It will just have to be enough, at least until 2008 when we can elect someone who understands that being President means serving a democratic republic and not ruling a dictatorship.

Do they deserve it? Possibly. An argument can be made that they've broken dozens of laws. If having a legal affair with a White House intern is grounds for impeachment, I would think breaking dozens of laws easily would fit within the scope.

Will the Democrats move to impeach them? I doubt it. Pelosi and Reid are too pragmatic for that. I really think they are aware that the Democrats were not put into power in Congress because the American people want to see MORE partisan fighting. So I don't see impeaching Bush as a realistic option for the Democrats.

whether or not they could or not is almost a moot element. the rationalization they at the instant are not doing that is because of the fact it won't artwork. to get rid of the president demands a 2/3 vote interior the senate, that isn't happen (until Bush screws up way worse than he's already executed). So the complaints might purely be a waste of time and, i might upload, a waste of our taxpayer funds. Which the republicans knew while they impeached Clinton some years back - yet they desperate to do it besides to make their little element. Now they are in a position to whine that Clinton did not do sufficient approximately Osama because of the fact he became into distracted by using their impeaching him.

I for one think that both deserve to be impeached and then some too but it will never happen no matter what cause they have the money and power to keep their dirty hands out of impeachment.
If they were ever to have been impeached it would have happened already but too many idiots in congress and the senate don't want to bother and it's all boils down to keeping on the good side of money and power.
These two are criminals and should be punished but they will walk away without paying for all the harm that they have caused so many innocent people all over the world.
I am ashamed to have them in my great country and more so that they hold the most important offices in this great country too.
As for Clinton, he did not drag us into war but did something that is also embarrassing to this great country as well so there is a huge difference when someone talks about him not being impeached. I agree that what he did was not something that we are proud of but he wasn't the only president who did what he did but the only one who got someone pissed and then got reported for doing what he was doing. I guess he didn't believe in paying for silence like so many others did and still do.
I vote for impeachment of Bush and Cheney right away and then maybe we can all get on with our lives once again as we are wouldn't have those two to concern ourselves with knowing that they didn't get completely away with their acts of terrorism.
I may get blasted for my answer but ask me if I care cause I tell it like it is.

Bush might well deserve to be impeached, but he probably won't be. The Democratic Congress simply doesn't see this as a winning issue for them. They believe they will get blamed for fighting with the President instead of fighting terrorists, much like the Republicans got blamed for the Lewinsky impeachment. Even if Bush did get impeached it's unlikely Cheney would, since very few of the illegal things the Administration has done could be traced to him.

Not if their smart.

Democrats have one of two things they can do for the next two years:

1)have investigation after investigation of bush and his people so that they all are impeached or resign.

OR

2)Push their 'better' agenda to prove that we shouldn't just elect another republican president.

They have a very short time to prove themselves and it shouldn't be wasted on beating a lame duck pres.

No, they do not deserve it, and yes, Bush will be impeached.

Remember, Impeached does not mean that they are thrown out of office, only that they went through the impeachment process. Clinton was impeached, yet stayed in office.

They deserve it, but Democrats are adults and will not resort to the childishness that the republicans did when they impeached Clinton.
