The first was the bagged spinich, now Taco Bell has removed their green onions from their menus. I know this has affected other states, but Utah has been affected by both. Both of the crops were from farms in California, they are investigating the plant where the onions were washed and distributed in NY.

What I'm wondering about is why this Ecoli issue is happening so frequently nation-wide. I never remember hearing about so many food contamination incidents until this year. It has me nervous and a little nauseated thinking that a cause of it is "sewage" seeping onto the vegetables, so what's left to eat anymore without thinking you'll be calling 911?

When visiting Utah some years ago they were selling T-Shirts that read "Eat, Drink and Be Merry. Tomorrow You Might Be In Utah." So I guess it's not a coincidence.
