I have a question im confuse. Was it about the aztecs and the mayas cause i only got to see the middle of the moive i didnt see the beginning. im thinking it was the aztecs cause of the gods they had.Please help me out I would like to know thanks>>

It was about the Mayans. However, if you're looking for info on Mayan culture, you're likely to be disappointed. I was.
I really liked the movie actually, but when they were taken into the Mayan city, nobody explained anything that was going. You see a bunch of people doing all kinds of strange things, but nobody said what they were doing or why.
The movie was about the character "Jaguar Paw", his capture and his rush back to save his family. That's all. It's visually beautiful, graphically violent, well shot, etc etc, but it does not really give any information about the culture at all. In that aspect, I was very disappointed.

Some city-dwelling Maya captured some village-dwelling Maya. There were no Aztecs in the movie. Kukulcan and Ixchel, two of gods named, are both Mayan.

It is about the Mayas. I am looking forward to seeing it, when it comes to Europe, because history of the Maya civilization has been my hobby for 30 years.
MAYAN is the language. The Maya, the mayas are the people.
