Spray some axe or something flammable on the nest. Than light it on fire and run inside. It works, I've done it many times!

If you want to deal with it yourself, you can buy a can of flying insect killer (the kind that shoots 40 feet. Then at dusk (the bees come back home at night, they'll be out during the day), find the best angle and spray the heck out of them, totally saturating the nest as much as possible (my personal approach is to have another can handy, maybe even with the other hand). Be aware that stuff is toxic to you, so don't breathe it in!!

Wait a day or two and pull out the nest, then find a way to seal the area (if its a crack you can use silicone caulking) so they don't come back. The smell of the stuff usually keeps them away for a few months, but for the first 2 days they'll keep coming back so don't go in to remove until then.

If you're highly allergic or concerned about this process, a professional exterminator might be a better solution.

If it is inside the framing of the house then you will need a bee removal service. The service puts up a canister with a one way door and puts bait inside called queen scent. You can DIY with supplies at www.dadant.com.What you do with the canister is between you and the strip club where your husband squanders his paycheck.I killed a nest in a tree hollow with pesticide and filled the hole with spray foam in a can.My neighbor warned me that when I mowed my yard there were bees following and taunting me in an outrageous French accent but I did not notice.

You need to have someone come and professionally remove it. I had one and removed it myself, and the bees simply rebuilt it within a day or two. You can find several specialist online or some pest control companies will do it. Costs about $100, and its worth it if you are scared.

If you know it's bees, as in honey bees, look in your phone book to see if there is a beekeeper - one who raises bees for the pollination and honey. Call them and ask them if they want them before you just kill them. They are far too beneficial to just kill as pests. One of my relatives was a beekeeper and they would often trap them out out of houses into a box (with a funnel of sorts) and haul them away and put them in a pinewood hive with wax comb in frames. Good Luck!

Ive found that Carb cleaner works great at killing them, and they dwont rebuild anytime soon...

But do yourself a favor - do it at night or early am, when they are all present and asleep. Spray it and run like hell. Im allergic to the bastards, so I know what you mean about being afriad of them...
