I'm teaching Computer Technologies. I'll be happy to help you resolve your problem, but I need more specific information about what exactly is running slow and when it is running slow. There are a number of options to quickly restore your machine to normal again. Use the "Additional space" and update with a few specifics that are a priority and we can work from there. First, are you using XP and what service pack do you have installed as of now?

do this to set it right. download and run http://www.download.com/Advanced-WindowsCare-Personal/3000-2086-10407614.html?part=dl-AdvancedW&subj=uo&tag=button. Also download http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx. This will make sure to cleanout any virus if ya pick'd one up. Also download and run http://www.iobit.com/SmartDefrag/download.html. Another great free program to keep your pc running smooth at all times. Also, download and use http://www.ccleaner.com/. This will clean out all temp files and cookies that slow your machine. All great free programs. Good luck. Mikie.
