I watched a program on North Korea the other night, I had no idea that they're world is so restricted. Students there cant' use the internet, and when they try to reach "non government approved" sites, its blocked. They didn't know what "Google" was. The only artists there are goverment appointed, and can only paint what what Kim Jong-Il: North Korea's Dear Leader approves of. I couldn't believe it. So, I'm wondering do we appreciate at the freedoms we have here? I don't think we do. We should remember the soldiers and the veterans who fight for our freedom here in the west.

Well, I'm glad I live in a country where I can openly criticize my goveerment, protest if I want, vote for who I want, buy what I want, practice any religion I want.

I know for me personally that I take the rights we have here for granted. I could only imagine not being able to speak my mind about our government or only being able to watch government owned television stations and not being able to know the point of views of the outside world. I should thank my lucky stars that I was lucky enough to be born in the U.S.A. Although we're not perfect, we have so many freedoms, that other people in other countries don't have.

Anyways yes I appreciate it enough to want to protect it right here, right now. We take our freedom for granted it is being eroded everyday and it started long before this war. We need to define it so everyone knows what it is,so one notices when it is threatened, before it is gone. And it has been vanishing at an alarming rate, however we still have much to be greatful for. Those poor people in that platform shoe wearing wackos country would be happy with one tenth of what we have. I am forever proud and in the debt of our soldiers and veterans thank God for them or we may not exist at all. God Bless our fighting Hero's

What about the lack of freedom we have. Compared to Europe We dont have much freedom. The US is a very restrictive place. Of course Muslim countrys and some others are bad, but the US is one of the more restrictive countries in the world.

The US is #30 in freedoms and North Korea is #166. (http://www.rsf.org/article.php3?id_article=8247)

I don't think so. So many people take for granted what we have in America. We don't always make the right decisions, but who does. We do what we think is best just like everyone else. I can say we don't raise our children to be terrorists or force our daughters to be circumcised/mutilated. I appreciate that. I can only imagine how we would be living if there were not so many men and women who enlisted to serve and protect.
