Do the old "double answer". Explain how we couldn't live without it (do your own research) then how it could easily kill us if it wasn't for the electromagnetic shield around the earth generated by our core and how, eventually, the Sun will kill us by exploding when it eventually dies.

"it is a common misconception that the sun is necessary for the survival of human life maybe an exaggeration, but in fact, recent studies have shown that the sun is more harmful than good.
clinical tests on subjects ranging from human to marsupial to emu, in all tests the subjects that had minimal or no exposure to the sun had much healthier dispositions, better tissue regeneration, sharper eyesight, (68% sharper in some cases!), among many other positive attributes that were countered by the lack of sun."

hope this helps and good luck!!!

A Little bit of sun (10 to 15 minutes per day) is essential for producing vitamin D in the skin.

On the one hand we need sunshine, as it is the only way our body (except for supplements) makes vitamin D. Very few foods are naturally rich in vitamin D. Deficiency may result in liver or kidney disorders.

Vitamin D regulates eg the absorption of calcium from food, promotes bone formation, is good for your the hormonal parathyroid gland, and apparently it promotes anti-bodies that fight tumours.

On the other hand we all know that too much sunshine - especially in countries where the Ozone layer has been damaged - causes skin cancer. For vitamin D, one only needs sun slight and not too much of it.

energy source
UV
sunburn
skin cancer

That's an easy start for you. Good luck on the report.

Yes and no.
Things that need the sun:
The weather: then hence every living thing on this planet except those weird cave-dwelling insects and bacteria, oh and those things which live by the geothermal vents under the oceans.
Apart from those exceptions, every living thing on this planet is dependant upon the sun for its very existence.

Cheers.

I would say that some sunshine is good for us. Sunshine helps facilitate your body's ability to produce Vitamin E and it is good for mental and phychological health. The Sun also helps to warm our planet, and allows for the growth of plant life, which is essential to all life on Earth.

On the other hand, too much sunshine can be harmful. Sunburns and Suntans are your body's way of dealing with UV radiation which damages cells and can lead to cancer.

I would look up more detailed information, also look up information on how the sun's surface temperature (about 5800 K) is important to life on Earth and how our atmosphere and magnetic field protect us from some of the harmful radiation the sun releases.

The sun in moderation is good for the human body as it stimulates the release of Vitamin D in the body..and helps regulate brain neuro transmitters..

Yes.
It allows plants to make food along with the chlorophyll on their green leaves and water from the ground.
The existant of plants results in food for herbivorous animals, e.g. cows, lamb.
And these in turn, along with the vegetables, result in our existence.
It also provides us with Vitamin D.
It keeps us warm as without the Sun, our Earth will freeze.
It results in the water cycle due to its initiation of evaporation.

In some ways, it is. From the sun, we produce Vitamin C, but on the other hand, there is sunburn, and skin cancer and all sorts of things all caused by the sun.
