One that has died and you still miss when you think of him or her.
I still miss my Peek-a-Boo. A few years ago we moved into an apartment and when I took the trash out my 2 yr old son opened the door and let her out. She was an indoor only cat and it was our first night there. I looked and looked and looked for but I never found her.

no lectures please I know all about not letting out a cat, collars, tags, microchips etc

I still miss my cat Charlie. He "disappeared" from the apartment I used to live during an attempted burglary. Personally, I think someone set the whole thing up because someone hated Charlie ("someone" shall remain nameless...), I hand-raised him from birth and he had been with me for 10 years. When he was gone I broke down for an entire week, I cried non-stop every day. I love you sweetie... wherever you are I hope you are loved and in peace.

Gosh there are so many that I miss. I did Boxer and English Bulldog rescue for a long time. The last "batch" that I had were all senior dogs. One by one they died. I think I lost one dog a year for the last 4 years. Even though I know I saved them from horrible circumstances and gave them a wonderful last few years, it was very hard to say goodbye.

I am currently taking a break from rescue, although I did recently adopt a little Cocker Spaniel. He's pretty young though and I hope to have him for many years to come.

I had two cats "Little Bit" and "Taz". I raised both of them when they were babies. Little-Bit was 5 years old and Taz was going on 2. Me and my husband moved to a new house and I guess they wanted to explore the outside. They were gone for 2 weeks. I found out that Taz got hit by a car and I believe somebody picked up "Little Bit". I miss my babies...they were my children. Everytime I look at their pictures, I start crying and I mean river running crying. I was very attached to my cats. And I miss them so much.

My favorite pet was my pony, Belle. I had her since I was 6 years old. She got bit by a rabid skunk, and had to be put down. It was the saddest day of my life. People don't usualy vaccinate for rabies where I live, so she wasn't. I really wish she was! I miss her alot. I still cry, and it was two and a half years ago. Luv ya Belle, miss u.

Wow. Some people on here are going to drive me tears. I miss Clare. I had her from 7th grade until I was 25. She had cancer. My parents did not believe in spaying pets so she had a few litters. When I was in high school I had her spayed. The vet I worked with as an adult said the cancer could have been from having so many litters. If you spay them young their chances for mammary cancers goes down. So I feel partially responsible for her death..

I miss my minature doberman, Wrinkles. Who would have ever thought I would miss a tiny, wierd little dog so much, but I do. We had her for 13 years, and she was really smart. She even knew how to sneeze on command! I moved out of my parents house and I had her to myself for a year or so, but I was going to move and my mom wouldn't take her so my grandma said she would. WRONG! She gave her to some lady without me even knowing, and I never got to see her again. I heard she died shortly after. I think it was out of sadness. I felt (and still do feel) terrible about it....

I have lost a few cats. 3 of them were hit by cars, 2 ran off, and one was old and died. I miss them all, they were really fun to have around.

i miss my cat spookie. she was a funny cat that would get on the door and scare you when you looked out. she was a good cat and has now passed on and i miss her because she did thing that made me laugh. i also miss my daughters cat pudding head he was a big black cat and i do mean big and he was so lazy my daughter would hang him on her neck and he would just lay there. and she would dress him up in baby clothes and he would walk out to me and then flop down and look at me like to say see what she did now. he was a great cat and he was killed by some mean kids. it still makes me mad to think of this sweet cat that did not one any harm to be killed like that.

I'll always have fond memories of Toto, the black Labrador retriever I had as a child. She was the sweetest and friendliest dog ever. Even today, when I see a black Lab, I think, "aww, it looks like Toto!"
