Because the Redskins have rights to the airtime if they are playing at the sametime. I lived out there before moving back to Baltimore and that pissed me off as well. If you want to see the Ravens games out there you must get Directv and the NFL Ticket. Billick was actually trying to get that changed, because as you know there are a lot of Ravens fans that live outside the Baltimore area who gets stuck watching Redskins games.

The place to live is the Annapolis area - with my digital cable package here I get both the DC stations and the Baltimore stations. And we don't seem to be in an "exclusive" zone for either team - I can watch the Redskins and Ravens both, even when they're on at the same time. I don't know why they have blackout zones at all, though. It seems kind of stupid. I moved here from the Bay Area, and out there the 49ers and Raiders always share TV time throughout the whole region - neither team has a "blackout" priority over the other. In fact, even when the Raiders were in LA we were still getting both teams' games in the Bay Area every week. Of course the Raiders are blacked out half the time now anyway because they can't sell out their games, but that's a completely different issue.
Anyway, my best suggestion if you need to see the Ravens is to find yourself a good local sports bar, ideally one that's a haven for your fellow Ravens-fans-in-exile, and watch the game there. I'm a lifelong Buffalo fan, and that's what I do whenever I need to get my fix, since national TV appearances are few and far-between for them right now. My regular watering hole is a place in Bowie, but that's probably further than you want to go.

often we get 4 (one on CBS, 2 on Fox and a million on NBC). on occasion we will get 5 if the Chiefs are taking part in on the West Coast and have an afternoon recreation. Then they're going to often air a 12:00 recreation, then the Chiefs recreation at 3:00, yet they under no circumstances air a recreation after the Chiefs if KC performs a 12:00 recreation.

Don't feel bad. I live in Harrisburg Pa and we get force fed the stinking Ravens when most of the people here are Steeler fans. Almost nobody wants to watch Baltimore (unless Ray Ray is stabbin' someone again).
