1) feels like somebody is snapping a rubber band on your skin. Your skin will remain red for up to an hour after treatment. If you blister or burn see doctor immediately. Some areas hurt more than others. like your stomach near your belly button...ouch. But also depends on how much hair you are dealing with, what area, and your sensitivity level. You also have the option of using a numbing cream if the pain level to you is not comfortable. I had an allergic reaction to that stuff and do not use it. It was not worth the risk.
2) Yes. I have had my face and abs done for $500 per session * 5 sessions. You will never get everything in one shot. They usually recommend 3 - 4 treatments.
3) So far as I can tell it is permanent. I have been having treatments about 3 times a year for 6 years, and so far nothing has come back.
You will have to remember that your hair grows in 3 - 4 cycles, so you will never get everything at once. It is a great alternative to electrolyis which you have to do hair by single hair. The ideal candidate has light skin and dark hair. The laser is best absorbed by darker hair.
The absolute most important thing, only go to a licensed dermatologist for this procedure. They are experienced with skin care any problems that may arise as a result.

Laser hair removal is not particularly painful, just irritating, but it does cause temporary skin redness. In most cases laser hair removal treatments are permanent, but in some instances the hair can start growing again after 18 months or so.
The cost depends on how large an area you wish to treat. You have to remember that multiple treatments are required to kill off the hair follicles. It can costs as little as a few hundred to as much as a couple of thousand pounds.
There are also DIY laser hair removal kits available like the Rio, which uses a safe 808nm diverging laser. It's basically the same as salon laser machines apart from the fact it can only treat one hair at a time, whereas salon lasers can treat a area of about 1cm squared.

1.) Slight burning, itching sensation, but different for different people.
2.) It depends on what you're having lasered off (legs cost more than eyebrows), but I know someone who spent $300+ on her legs.
3.) It's not a one-time procedure. You go and get your hair lasered, and it can take a month or longer for the hair to fall out. Usually you're allowed to shave during that period. Then you go back and they will repeat the procedure, and you continue the cycle until you see the desired results. Keep in mind, laser hair removal doesn't work for everybody. I had a friend who went in to get her upper lip done, and after half a dozen procedures, it still wouldn't stop growing back. Also, it's very important to go to someone who is licensed and experienced in it, like a dermatologist, because someone who doesn't completely know what they're doing could end up giving you permanent, ugly scars when they burn your skin. It is a laser beam they're working with.

I think I would go and visit a salon and ask them all about it first.
As far as I am led to believe you get a slight burning sensation where the hair is being lasered.....maybe a bit reddish afterwards for a wee while. I am sure it totally kills the hair follicle so should be permanent.

Laser hair removal is “permanent” hair removal method but is expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

As I understand it and I have only met one person who has had it done, it is a little painful, I did not ask the price but it is one person working on you alone so it wont be cheap and yes it does last

depending on which kind of lasering you decide to get (different places offer different types). some of it can make your skin break out for a few days, some doesn't. if you have sensitive skin i suggest consulting the person doing the lasering. You may be able to get a free consultation depending upon the place.
