Equal opportunities to life, liberty, and the pursuit of hapiness. Everyone has a chance, so work to break down the barriers to those three things, be it race, economic issues, gender, ethnicity, handicap, etc...but you first need to convince the US that everyone has a right to pursue those three things, and unfortunatley, there are those who don't believe that, and never will. those people will continue to create barriers, and others will continue to break down those barriers, and our wheels are spinning...

First, it's impossible to make everyone equal, because they are not.

But I would start by taking apart the many mechanisms that funnel money away from the working poor and toward the already-too-rich.

This would require totally scrapping our current deeply entrenched corporate plutocracy for a government of, by, and for the people.

Anyone who actually tried to do that would surely be assassinated.

Take away affirmative action. We want equality yet we choose people solely on their color or gender because of a law intended to promote equality. That is hypocritical. I'm Hispanic and I think this makes us carry the burdern of being seen as incompetent because we need government help to be accepted to schools. I want it to stop. This will bring true equality.

C) Don't give preferential treatment and then everyone is treated equally. Not everyone is created equally, some are smarter, more athletic, better looking, etc., but everyone deserves to be treated equally.
