Find out if there is a "Toys for Tots" group in your area.

Talk to the children with honesty about the situation. Try to have one small, but loving gift for each child. Make something yourself if possible. I will mean a lot to them that you did it.

Have a festive Christmas meal.... not necessarily expensive. Smile, sing, dance around and have fun with the children in celebration of God's gift of love to us..... Jesus Christ.

Make Jesus the reason for the season and gifts and things secondary. Give your children something to believe in and give them faith.

If you have a place in your community that is known for Christmas lights and decorations.... take an after-dark walk with them through the area on Christmas Eve... make it fun and joyful. Then return home, make hot-chocolate and play games together.

God Bless you with joy this Christmas!

Teach them that Christmas is about love and not about presents. Have your family volunteer at a soup kitchen or an old folks home so that they can see how lucky they are.

You can still have a nice Christmas without lots of expensive presents. Make the holiday fun and festive and decorate cookies and spend time as a family.

7 children??!! wow!! Looks like you have your hands full!! i remember one of my favorite childhood memories was the times spent with my mom. Like decorating Christmas cookies or watching Christmas movies while drinking hot chocolate. Sometimes those memories outshine any Christmas gift.

You can do several things. Like home made treats. I have been doing this for years with my family and they love it. I made different treats from chocolate and such to pies and brownies. They love it.
For others in my family I do coupon books. Like for night of doing dishes. With kids you can make them for so much like get out of cleaning your room for the day, get to stay out one hour later. Mommy and me time. Where you spend one hour with that child and devote time to them taking walk or playing a video game or something you both will enjoy.
Also there are "care packs" my mom does this for me every year, with like razors, shaving cream, shampoo, conditioner, make up. Stuff that I will need. It's the best present I ever get. I look forward to it every year.
Good Luck to you.
