Right now the Nintendo DS has more games out and is lower in value than the Wii. Also, another main difference is that the DS is portable and the Wii is a stationary game console for the tv. So these two items are not really in competition with each other.

My brother owns the two, and that i actually LOVE the two. yet Wii is greater relaxing unmarried participant or in case you have a pal or 2 over. The DS you could play with 8 human beings and its rather super in case you have that many human beings. i in my view might pass with the Wii in view that's greater moderen, so there will be a brilliant number of video games popping out for it, and that i'm not asserting the DS is previous, (in view that's certainly not), however the Wii is mind-blowing. one greater element... draw back of Wii... you could not rather take it around with you to play, so once you're making plans on happening an prolonged holiday the place you at the instant are not using, which would be cool.

"The Wii only has the same power as a ps2!"
First of all, get your facts straight. The nintendo wii has at least twice the amount of processing ability as the gamecube and the gamecube has more "power" than the ps2. In short:
Wii>Gamecube>ps2
Secondly, I would recommend a Wii because it is very appealing to non-gamers. I got my mom playing the golf mini game in Wii Sports(included with console) and she doesn't even know what nintendo is. It is also something that a group of people can enjoy so its a great system to play with your friends.

Defintitely the DS..
The Wii only has the same power as a ps2! With the xbox 360 out, and the playstation 3 coming.. Wii will soon seem amazingly basic.

Okay first a few things to consider: how much money do you want to pay or invest in the item? Are you looking for something for homeplay or for on the go type play? What kind of games are you looking for? And how much do you plan on playing it, casually like three or for times a week or every day?
If you want something on the go, less expensive, large library of games and dont plan on playing with it a whole bunch like maybe 4 times a week then you should get the nintendo ds lite.
If you want something to do around the house and you are willing to spend a lot of money and not have a huge selection of games to pick from and a more physical video game then go for the wii.
I personally would get the nintendo ds lite but that is just me because I find myself not playing at all with large consoles. I got a gamecube last year for Christmas and my sister and I played on for a few months and now we dont even play on it at all neither do we play with our playstation 2. but that is just us. We are in the car a lot and we have to go on long trips many times a year to visit our relatives for holidays and it is really nice to have a gameboy type thing to play on. We like to just grab our system and go and not have to plug in and powerup large consoles with expensive games. I hope this helped you out and good luck!

Well both I guess, The DS has handheld fun with the touch screen that makes things a physical challenge. The Wii itself defines fun that is not only cheap compared to its competitors, but it has cool features that will make the fun last.

well, the DS is portable and since it it has been out longer it has more games already. The WII is new and it had more functions but it isnt portable. I bet you can use the DS in conjunction with the WII though.
