Anyone watch the Mythbusters Xmas episode with the xmas tree longevity myth?

I watched the show but I can't remember what test proved to work the best for making your tree stay alive the longest....any know?

Also if anyone could tell me what you do with the product that was found to be the best? Like what do you do with the hairspray?
