Lisa is definitely right. Dr. Phil may not be an expert, but he is successful because he appeals to people on a nationwide moronic level by pointing out the obvious and saying it in ways that are shocking and sometimes revolting. Look at Dr. John Gray (the guy who wrote Men Are From Mars, Women Should Have Penises). It came out recently that his credentials are a total fraud and were bought from a mail order degree mill that was shut down for handing out diplomas for money.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that what they are saying is just plain old common sense. People like to have common sense pointed out to them because so many people in this day and age don't have any. As long as there are stupid people on this earth, Dr. Phil will profit by pointing out their moronic behavior.

The same people who dispute Dr. Phil knows what he's talking about are usually the people he talks about. Get youself some proffessional help.
