No drivers are needed. But, make sure when you install the 2nd hard drive you take the small plastic covered plug on the back of the hard drive an set the pin on the system operating drive to "master with slave" and on the secondary drive set the pin on the back of the drive to "slave". If you don't follow these instructions and boot your machine without setting the "pin's" properly you will not boot and will get an error screen. Good luck. Mikie.

Nope. Computers don't need drivers for actual drives, just the IDE controller on the motherboard. Since you obviously have a working CD at the moment, those drives are clearly installed and working. So you can plug it in and away you go.

u do not need the drivers. but make sure u have both driver are set to cable select. and both will work fine.

in xp you dont need any extra driver for any physical drive

No. Windows XP will be able to see it and use it straight out of the box.
