Does anyone know this Christmas song?

Does anyone know the name of the Christmas song that's really sad and about a girl named Maria who finds a bird with a broken wing and helps it. Then the girl leaves it as a gift at the Altar and the bird flys away?

It is called "The Gift" and Í am not sure where it comes from originally, but I do know that Garth Brooks sings it.
