Apparently ants can tell the difference between sucrose and sucralose and don't recognize the latter as being food.

It's not refined sugar. Refined sugar is refined sugar. Splenda is sucralose, an artificial sweetener. Feed the poor ants some sugar instead.

It's refined sugar, so it's not sugar.
I don't consider it food, either, and I don't eat it.
