What many people don't realize is that child care no matter how you look at it is expensive. And it is even more expensive for infants. You want the best of care for your child while you are away. My 7 month old daughter is in daycare for 7 hours a day 5 days a week. I pay $100 dollars a week. In my opinion, she is in the best daycare in town. She loves it there and they take the best care of her. I live in Minnesota so the going rate here may be different than it is where you are... but I would say that $75 a week would not be too bad. If you figure 3 bucks an hour like what I pay for my 8 yr old... than your looking at about $60 a week, there again its an 8 yr old versus an infant.

I have a 7 month old. We pay a babysitter $25.00 for an 8 1/2 hour day. It doesn't sound like much, but after you add up a few days a week, it gets expensive. We have her come two days one week and three days the next. The sitter comes to our house. BTW we live in a rural area in NC. I would guess something like $15.00 - $20.00 a day for your situation.

I would say at least $2 an hour. My sitter has my daughter around 8 1/2 hrs. a day, 5 days a week. She asked for $20 a day.

For a 10 month old for 5 hrs should at least be paid$ 80.00 a week. It also depends on what you are actually making too! How old and How responsible is the sitter??

I also live in rural wv. and a friend of mine, babysits a 4 yr old and only charges $20.00 a day, but for a 10mth old i would charge more, cause at that age they are just starting to get into everything and if walking then its just that much harder. good luck.

$250-$300, depending on age of the babysitter and how long her commute is. Also for full-time nannying you should file a W9 form.
