Go to college/university for 4 years to get a bachelors (you could major in psych.). Then study for another 2 years or so and get your masters so you can be a practicing therapist/counselor. Some studying after that gets you to a psychologist level (in L.A., psychologists make about 90k a year. They can't prescribe medicine though. Psychiatrists can, but you have to go to school longer. They make about 200k a year.) Good luck either way :o) That's my field of study too. I had wanted to be a lawyer.. well, I still might be, but I'm uncertain. :o)

first go to school........study in the medical field I presume, so you have "some" medical knowledge....and then major in the field you want.......get your doctorate.....push comes to shove and you want the right questions answered correctly....call a major university that has the training for physcology, etcc.....
