I have a light switch in the bathroom that controls a fan and the light switch . This has 2 white wires and 2- black . This feeds into a grounded plug in with 2 - white wires and 2- black with a ground wire.I have tried every confirguration , but still have no power in the bathroom . All other plug/lights work int the house . Is this a breaker issue? or am I not hooking it up correctly?

You're going to need a meter. as one side of the switch will be black and 120V then the other side of the switch will go to the device. Light or fan. Now depending on the electrician they may have used the right color or maybe not.
1. find the hot from the breaker touch meter lead to black then the white in the same cable. should be 110.
2. find the hot and neutral wires going to the fan then to the light.
3. when you find the wires to the plug in wire them direct to the hot and neutral you found. this will keep them on all the time(not switched.
the neutrals should all be hooked together. they are not switched.
then take the hot from the breaker and apply it to one side of the switch for both the fan and the light.
the only two left should be the hot to the light and fan. hook them up as necessary and you should have the system working.

probably a breaker problem. put a meter to black to see if you get any voltage.

P.S. If it is a ground fault interrupted switch, check all other outlets in the line as it may be sensing a short.

first black goes with black white goes with with white etc. if you have breakers then it may be dun in and need a new one take one out and put it in the same spot as the one for the bathroom if it works the you know what you have to do [get a new one the same amps take it with you to get the right one ]
