I am a Celt
Celt is to Wiccan in Paganisim as Catholic is to Protestant in Christianity, we share the same - but slightly different.
My Wiccan friends and I host a Yule Gathering at my home on the 22nd, celebrate and exchange gifts.
My spouse and I then go to our Christian families on Christmas Eve/Day and participate in thier celebrations.
After all, all of the Christmas Traditions come from our ancient roots, they may be retranslated and most Christians don't know how the traditions came to be...I find it funny!
Blessed Be to you and Yours

Generally, we open the gifts from/for the immediate family household on Christmas morning or early afternoon. Then when the relatives gather, we open those on Christmas evening, that is, the evening of December 25, after we've eaten dinner.

We usually go to church on christmas Morning and then when we come back home we have lunch together as a family then in the evening right before it starts to get dark, we begin to open Christmas gifts around the Christmas tree and thank God for allowing us to see another Christmas. It's a really special time

Actually the Pagan excursion is the Winter Solstice which is widely known at the longest day of the 12 months. Around December 21 or 22. ( notice: the day alterations 12 months to 12 months.)It has not anything to with the occasion of the start of jesus Yule is continuously at the equal day that is the 23. Also The Saturnalia ( december 17 - 23) honors Saturn and his spouse Ops. This is the excursion that many christian traditions have been centered. And like with the wintry weather solstice the dates difference. We then see that this occasion mostly falls on December 25. Therefore the occasion isn't christian and is correctly Pagan so get your possess excursion and give up looking to say that we have fun Christmas for jesus' b-day. Cause we do not you stole our excursion.

In our christian home , we open one gift on Christmas Eve and read the Christmas story out of Luke Chapter 2. Then on Christmas day we open the rest. After family time , we go help others at the shelters or in the community . that is interesting to know different religion practices.

My husband (not wiccan) usually wants to wait until the 25th. So I agree. I'll do at least a small gift to him, and also my sister, on the 22nd.
I like the way y'all celebrate in your family.

December 25th. It's no holds barred at our house. As soon as the kids wake up they can go and open all their presents.
