the amount of coverage that she'd been receiving was unfair. i bet more than half of the people who voted for her didn't even know who she was a month ago. it was swayed by the fact that she was a royal and her mother had already won it. button shouldn't have been there; he won, what, one race? andrew murray has a crap attitude, maybe they should consider nominating him when he's matured. darren clarke, however good he was at the ryder cup, got a hell of a lot of sympathy votes.
i'd say calzaghe, tweddle, taylor, hatton or panesar were deserving winners. they'd have been better off with a panel, boxing isn't cosy enough sport to have people voting in the masses
theo walcott getting young sports personality was a load of crap. and walliams - why the hell did he win? plenty of people swim the channel for charity. that was just the bbc giving themselves a pat on the back. i don't even watch the bbc, in fact i hate the fu.cking channel. i only pay for it because tv is fast and i like channel 4.

Yes it's a load of old tosh, voted for by middle class, pringle v-neck jersey wearing, volvo driving, boring, dinner party holding, head up their own arses toffs! They just want to pat each other on the back for voting for a Royal when the horse done all the work for goodness sake!! I mean just look who hosts the thing Gary bloody Linekar and that posh bird who hosts wimbledon but won plums when she was actually playing.
Joe Calzaghe was a stand out winner for me.

Ive never even heard of her.
But if she´s the only British person doing the business then why not.
I can´t think of any other outstanding british sportsperson at the moment.
Someone mentioned a couple of boxers, wake up boxing has become a joke with all these belts and biff fat boxers fighting.

fair does she is a world champion and doesn't win that by just be a grand daughter of the queen.
To me Theo walcott winning the young sports personality was a bigger joke . At least the other 2 nominees did something he just had a handful of games mainly as a sub.

It's a disgrace, everyone who voted for her should be banned from all future sporting votes..Leave it to real sports fans & they can stick to voting on reality TV shows
