OK my stupid answer is "with my eyes..."
I see French people as... me, but with a different accent, primary language, and national history.

They make:
Excellent films
excellent food
excellent wine
They stand up and don't take any crap off their Government.
We British envy them a bit on the quiet....but don't tell anybody I said so 'cause that would mean thumbs down galore!- Wait for it!
The French are a vast mixture of different people like every Nationality.
And the women are hot!

Quite xenophobic...
Cold...
Individualist...
Black French people:
Nice...
Friendly...
Warm..
Giving...
I lived in Paris for 3 years, Paris is a wonderful city indeed, France is a beautiful country, but living there as a foreign is not easy...Especially because they refuse to learn and speak English;)))))

There's a special incantation you have to say, and then you can see French people. Without that incantation, they all look English or German or Spanish, or perhaps Italian. In severe cases, French people can be perceived as Chinese...

Seriously, I see the French as good, bad, and indifferent -- just like I see everyone else. Nationality does not confer virtue, nor sin, individuals' own actions do.

They are okay though some have a phobia of English.
