As of Jan. 1, 2007 you will need a passport if you are FLYING to Mexico. Do not need a passport for land or sea travel until Jan. 2008. See the website below to read the regulations for yourself.

Here are the new passport requirements listed on the government website.

2007 Land and sea crossings only require ID and birthcertificate.

2007 air crossing require a passport

2008 all crossings require a passport

As of January first 2007 you will need a pasport to travel to mexico and Canada
