I had my nose re-pierced not too long ago (I had it done originally when I was your age but had to take it out because of a job when I graduated high school). The recent piercing stung for about five seconds when the needle went through, and then it pinched a little when the ring went in, and then it was just sensitive for a few days. Try pulling out a couple of nose hairs and the pain is about the same as a piercing. Just make sure the piercer uses a sterile, hollow needle and sterile jewelry, and follow all their instructions on keeping it clean. Try not to touch it too much, and when you do, make sure your hands are clean.
Drink plenty of fluids the day before and on the day you go in to get it done, because you might get dizzy after it's done (sometimes the body reacts that way to a physical trauma like a piercing--mine did) and the extra fluids will help you feel better faster. Also, remember to breathe during the procedure. The piercer will probably have you inhale before they put the needle in, and then exhale as it's going through, because it distracts you from the pain.

I had my nose pierced with a needle that doctors use when stitching up wounds. The needle piercing my nose did not hurt, but the string pulling thru was a little painful, my nose felt bruised for a little while, but do not make the mistake as I did of eating spicy food which will make your nose run.. that was painful and wiping it was painful.
Keep it clean and touch it as little as possible. A silver hoop is best to put in initially, the nose pin's back can put you more at risk for infection.
I would advise that someone accompany you, my mother came with me and held my head because it was shaking out of excitement. My nose-piercing experience would probably have been a bad one if my mother had not held my head still.

I have had my ears, tongue, and nose pierced. I thought the nose was the LEAST painful. I just closed my eyes and it was over in a second. I didn't think it was that bad at all. The swelling was very minor and only lasted about a day. P.S. I have a lot of trouble with piercings...my ears get infected if I even look at fake earrings...my nose piercing has never given me any troubles whatsoever.

My cousin has a nose piercing, snakebites, normal earpiercings, and an industrial piercing. He said that the nose piercing was one of the least painful of all. He said it hurts like a fast shot.

It makes your eyes water. But the pain goes away so fast it's not something to worry about.
