You should fill the fuel tank with diesel to dilute the gas. Drive it to burn off 1/4 of the tank and refill. It should be ok then providing there is only two litres of gas in it.

The engine would not run. The cost of cleaning the diesel out of the engine might be more than then car is worth. Fortunately, you are not likely to accidentally put diesel in a car. The nozzle on a diesel pump will not fit into the filler hole of a gas powered car.

Don't run the car. Tow it to a garage and get the fuel cleaned out properly. Any regular fuel in a diesel car will damage the engine. Don't even dilute it down that won't help.
On the other hand if you put diesel in a petrol car it will just smoke a lot.

Instant death to the motor, unless there was a lot of diesel fuel in the tank.

It will blow up. No im just kidding. But really it will mess up the motor. Empty the tank or you can risk it and try filling it all the way up with diesel to dilute it.
