Before spending the money on a CPA or lawyer, try contacting the Small Business Administration (SBA) in your community. You also might try contacting the Wage And Hour Commission about withholdings. As far as insurance, some states require workers' compensation and some don't. OSHA might be helpful in finding out. Most telepphone books have a section for government agencies--pick out one that looks like they might have the info you need and start dialling. If nothing else, they might be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck!

The best thing is to find an attorney who specializes in new business set up. Research to be sure which one you want. They are not as expensive as you may think. I paid around 220. for setting up things. Well worth it. They will give you all the answers. If you don't want an attorney, go to a good accountant. They know the best strategies for businesses.

I would recommend you go to a reputable C.P.A in your area. One who is trustworthy and knowledgeable about the laws for tax deductions in your area. State deductions vary from one another. Good luck.
