If so, what was your experience?
i'm working a 9 to 6 , one hour lunch... but i'm working real far from my home it takes me an hour to get to work and then to get home, I learned a lot here but I cant take it any more, I'm over worked. I came in this position with backed up work from the girls before me then I had this project that took almost my full attention for 3 months so that was more backed up work then they gave me more work froma girl that had to leave the company because of a death in the family! And if that is not enough I work closely with the girl who trained me, and I dont know wha her problem is but she always trying to "throw me under the bus" she points outs things that I might over look and sends annoying e-mails cc' ing my Boss. Everyday becomes harder for me to concentrate or get up and drive that 1 hour to get to work. Most of the time I work late so I get home at about 8 or 7:30... I recently got married so this is actually not helping me at all.

I want to leave but i dont know what to do.
should I just quit? or leave a two weeks notice? I already have some one that is willing to help me if I decide to just leave (as a business contact) But I dont know what to say when I quit, I DONT want to say that there is just too much work because I will be portrayed as "lazy' and will make me last 2 weeks horrible... Any useful tips?

I would first speak with my boss about the situation with the person who trained you to see if you can resolve that.

Second, I would begin looking for another job closer to home before you quit the first one because, especially since you're newly married, you have other considerations to worry about than just your own.

Thirdly, I would try to step back from the situation; try going into the office earlier so yo ucan get work done without the other girl bothering you, and that way you can get home earlier, as well.

When talking with your boss, you might ask if you could do your work from home a couple of days a week to alleviate the pressure of the commute.

What it comes down to is that you need to decide whether you like the job enough to stay, or if you hate the job and need to move on.

I've quit plenty of jobs that weren't working out for me and it's liberating until the rent is due.

If you do decide to quit, come up with a list of reasons. "I can't work with the girl that's training me on my back all the time, the commute is difficult," that sort of thing, so that you have a basis and it doesn't make you look like you're just giving up. And always give 2 weeks notice because you never know when that person may be your boss again in another situation.

First get another job before you quit, if you can not, then make sure you can last financially and mentally.I know what you are going through (even have the tee shirt). The best thing to do is write your 2 weeks notice and give to your boss stating your are resigning for personal reasons, that is all you need to state and say to anyone there, never say anything negative.

The best time to get a job is when you have a job......if you start actively looking for new work.....your tolerance level will increase dramatically because you know it's gonna change soon....

Grab Sunday's paper/get your resume updated/get started....

Don't quit in a huff or w/out notice.....that will only make it more difficult to find a new job....
