There are several types of love you might want to consider:
1. Agape'--or principled love, based on ones love of life, God, appreciation of the other persons good qualities, what attitude toward life do they have etc.
2. Fe'los or affectionate love, friend(like their sense of humor, friendliness, etc.) -Philadelphia, called the city of brother love has connections her. It has been said if you do not like a person, how could you love him.
3. Eros or sexual love. It could be said that Eros is like the dessert in a fabulous meal. Some people want to make it the meal, but evidently that is a no-go(look at the Hollywood sickness)
4. Sorges or family love.
This breakdown could help you in your determination of when is the right person, time, & situation. If you might use the first 3 especially it might help you make the right decision.

You don't. But there are ways to help insure it's right. For starters, date a year or more. Secondly, talk about every subject: religion, finances, children, in-laws, holidays, traditions, where you want to live, how you want to live, how you like to budget, what sports you can't miss, where you like to vacation and how, etc. If you find you really don't agree on more than one item, you maybe shouldn't marry that person. Sexual compatibility is a start, but it won't give you a happy marriage if you don't agree on finances and kids, for instance. You need to talk these things out to be sure you agree BEFORE you marry.

Can you imagine your life without him? Would you die for him? Does he make you happy in every aspect? Would you love him and be by his side no matter what? ie: he lost his job, got into an accident and was paralized, etc. Do you go to bed and wake up thinking about him? Have you imagined what it would be like to marry him? Ask yourself those questions and others like that... if you answer yes then you should. It all depends on what your heart tells you

You'll just know when you meet the right person. Love means different things to different people. When the person makes you feel comfortable like a pair of shoes that you like to wear and won't get rid of. Believe me, you'll know!!!
