Yes they do but there is alot u cant give them! i have 2 ferrets of my own but what u can give them is meat cause they are carnivores! My ferrets wont eat meat for some odd reason but yea and they love peanut butter its ok to give it to them as a treat but not whole lot and make sure its creamy not chunky! No vegatables, sweets, alchol, dog food! Its ok to give them kitten food but it doesnt really have all the nutrients they need so feed them ferret food! Learn more about the ferret food though! If you want to learn more just look it up on the internet or get the book!

I read on these posts that someone gives their ferret chocolate. BAD ! DANGER ! Do not give any animal this as it is toxic to their systems and is fatal. Don't feed ferrets veggies either as they cannot digest it properly. Ferrets are mean/protien eaters. Carnivores. If they will take it, boiled chicken is good, eggs. No dairy as it will give them diareah. Nothing sugary either because ferrets can get a disease that is similar to our human "hypoglocemia". Low blood sugar. Best to stay away from that. Feed your ferret a really good quality ferret food made especially for ferrets, and you'll be fine.

Ferrets like all kinds of human food. It's important to feed your ferret a balanced diet that is especially formulated for ferrets. Once your ferret has eaten this, it's ok to give some treats of small amounts of human food. I'd try veggies, fruit and natural food such as that. Not candy, or sugar things.

Just because they may like it doesn't mean they should eat it.
Ferrets are carnivores(that means MEAT EATERS) and should eat a diet high in protein and fat, low in carbohydrates(and yes, fiber and sugar ARE carbohydrates). So please, please DO NOT feed your ferret fruits and veggies. For one they are of extremely little nutritional value to the ferret and two ferrets cannot digest them properly because they are lacking part of the intestines to do so. Matter of fact, raw vegetables can give your ferret a bowel obstruction that may have to be surgically removed.
You can give them stage 2 baby food (chicken or turkey with gravy) or some egg on occasion.
Now as a TREAT, and a treat only(like as a reward for doing a trick or coming to you when you use your squeaker to call them) they can have one Cheerioh, 1/2 a raisin or a tiny piece of non-acidic fruit or cooked vegetable. No candy, it sends their blood sugar totally out of whack and no nuts, bowel obstructions again.
You are better off giving your ferret a good ferret kibble or a good quality kitten food. Believe it or not, Walmart carries Maxximum Kitten and it's better quality than Marshall Farms ferret food.

I'll post a list of foods for you to check out:

Good luck.

Some human food seems to be OK, some not. The website http://www.downbound.com/Ferrets_s/408.htm says that Human food - even ferret-safe human food, including fruits and vegetables, is harmful in large quantities. Best to be careful.

They are not supposed to eat "human food", but my Chica loves chocolate, fruit loops and pepsi. My Chewy loves milk, cheetos, and apple jacks. These are the foods they sneak off of my kids plates, and if we leave a glass on the end table, they will drink it.
