My wife posted this question whilst I was cooking tea. Should she be punished for what she did? What form should this punishment take?

It's a bit of both I think. Don't stay on for too long and give her a bit of romantic attention. She won't mind so much then.

Punishment.............well.....give her a big hug.....tell her that you do it help others and to eduate yourself(after all, you do spend a lot of time on yahoo answers, dont you?The only reason a wife says 'you spend too much time on this or that' is because she is missing you and because she feels that you do not give her all the attention that she needs).........so after you tell her what you just told us and before she can say anything take her in your arms and kiss her tenderly......maybe again and again.....no wife can resist that.........she will melt in your arms and let you have your way!!!

You obviously enjoy Yahoo answers as do millions of others. Invite your wife to participate. As a punishment for misbehaving, she goes to the spare room for 2 nights.

Yes, you can spend too much time on here! If you are neglecting your wife I can see why she would be upset. Step Away From the Keyboard and give her some attention!

I know that you can get addicted to the internet but when people put questions on they are in need of advice and sometimes it is better to get advice from people that don't know you and are not afraid to hurt your feelings. Basically are not to close to the situation. You may not know how much you are helping someone else.

just look at my laundry pile and dishes, too much of anything, makes us slack in everything else, if that what your wife is saying, read between the lines, "you spend valuable time on the PC, I de prefer you spent it with me or being productive in the household"

If your wife has made a comment I think she might be right. Spend more time with her and less on this mindless forum.

Both of you. It's good to share your knowledge with others, but if it is interfering with the relationships that you have outside of the monitor and keyboard, you obviously are too engrossed.

I think it is possible to spend too much time on Yahoo! answers because there is a daily answer limit, lol. I guess they are trying to tell us something...
