Yes. More and more adult decisions are being handled by kids at younger ages because alot of parents refuse to take charge. Kids are having pre-marital sex earlier and earlier and they are not mature enough to handle the emotional distress that can come along with that. Parents that are letting their kids make their own decisions are putting them in harm's way. Parent's need to censor the Internet, TV and movie content that is not appropriate for their kids. Parent put blinders on and when they aren't looking, the kids are in the liquor cabinet. So, yes, you are growing up too fast and it's parent's fault. Parent need to take the time to talk to their children and to educate them in how to act and be involved in their young lives. It will have benefits in the future.

We're not growing up too fast, we're changing how we grow up so we learn from the start what we need to know.

If you think we are going up too fast, look at the education system. We are teaching kids things we didn't learn until we were almost in High School.

Kids act more mature because we are teaching them to be. It's not because TV or anything like that. It's a different era. Being a kid is just different now than it was then, but they're still being childish, just in a different way.

My opinion is the media has a lot to do with the fact that "we" are growing up too fast. Television, movies, and music don't help either. Plus, have you seen shoes and fashions for pre teen girls lately? If you aren't careful you could dress a ten year old like a hooker! Life is too darned short NOT to enjoy that brief time we call childhood! Resist growing up at all cost! I know I have!

Stay as young as you can, for as long as you can. I think kids do try to grow up way too fast.

Yes, on certain parts of life, like taking a bunch of responsibilities before our time, like being head of a department at an organization being 22. but still too young for others like really taking the time to think about what we do and say before we act on it, and our definition of "freedom" what a vague word huh?

i don't think so. how many people do you know that risk getting eaten by a lion or cave bear when they go outside? that would make me grow up real fast. if anything people in the west have had it too cozy in the last few decades.

yes,the reason is television,Internet, and other tools that teach the children grown folk stuff that children should not know......for example:sex, drugs, jail, terrorism, world politics, world events, and other things that do not allow children be children.....this will only make the children loose their childhood and there will be no good childhood memories for anyone.....sad....the world will become less child friendly.....
