I knew I failed my calculus test and was mad as hell and got a 52 on it. But I talked to this girl I know in the class and she got a 32 on it which is a complete surprise since she always passes tests with ease. So anyway I felt a lot better even though I still failed the damn test. Was feeling this way wrong?

I wouldn't think feeling this way is wrong. Everybody probably has this feeling once in a while. But hey it's good though to feel this way just don't like blurt it out or show emotions of it. Keeping it to yourself is probably way better. Don't feel down because if you think feeling this way is wrong then you are back to self doubting yourself which is way worse than you have started off with. It's nice to know that you have achieved more than the person who would achieved the highest. It just shows that anybody can succeed if they try. So I guess what I'm trying to say is that yes, it's normal and no it's not wrong feeling this way.

It's a normal feeling. You were not happy that she failed, you were happy that you weren't the only one to do it. It confirmed your 'normalcy' to know someone else also had trouble.

It's normal if you ask me. Just don't let her know you feel that way.
