I do not have a Windows 98 second edition disk. I purchased this computer with it already downloaded on it. I don't have the disk.
I accidentally deleted my outlook express and my Internet E. And would like to put it back on my computer so I can get on the internet.

You can't really 'remove' Internet Explorer from windows 98, it is very integrated into the fabric of Windows.

You can only choose do downgrade to IE4.0 in the Add/Remove Programs list.

You must set up internet access on Windows, and goto http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com There you can choose to scan your system, then you choose to install IE 6.0 SP1, which includes OE 6.0.

As an alternative to Windows update, you can goto the Browser Archive at http://browsers.evolt.org

You think no programs are running but you probably have a bunch of background programs on just turn them off...Most are updaters and preloaders for crap you don't even use anyway..
