Let's assume that they are doing their job correctly first, because hot or not, few things are worse while dining out than unattentive Waitstaff.

NOW...Do you find you enjoy your dining experience more if you have a hot looking Waiter or Waitress serving you?

OR...Do you find it to be too distracting checking out the Waitstaff, that you might be more relaxed with someone that you didn't notice their looks?

ALSO...Do think you are inclined to tip good looking Waitstaff more than someone not as good looking who did the same job?

I think personality is important. Assuming both give good service and both have nice personalities, yeah, hotter or prettier gets my vote. We are only human. But the first two are more important than looks. Looks then is a bonus I guess

Well it isnt everything if the waiter is hot or not. I mean sure its a plus because you have a hot waiter taking your order and serving you and things like that but it really doesnt matter. He could still be hot but the service could be really bad which would make your dining experience a not good one. So sure it is nice every once in a while but if the service is good and everything is right then I say that's great I would not complain!!!!!

It is always nice to have a handsome or pretty waiter/tress. But not necessary. It is however necessary to have a well groomed and clean person waiting on you.

It is not distracting to have a handsome or pretty waiter/tress.

Tipping has nothing to do with looks. It has to do with service and character. If my child is there and the waiter/tresss gives her special attention, she's 9 , then they have increased their tip. It is important to let all people know you are interested in them and tweens especially. It makes them feel part of the dinner party. So
if you want a good tip then clean up, fix your hair neatly, appropriate make-up (if a female), clean clothing, smile and talk to your dinner party ( appropriately) It works.

When I go out to eat my top priorities are:
Good food and good serve. I don't care if my wait person is butt ugly but I like it if they are dressed in a clean and neat manor and walk with confedance. No dragging feet, heads down or shoulders forward and no smiles. No sloppy cuff draging pants that are to big or to tight with their butts exsposed. This alone turns me off instantly and I want to leave-good food or serve does not matter to me than. I believe all restaurants should have either a uniform or dress code that is appealing and neat. Nice looking clean and neat hair is a must also!! Someone that is kind, courtious, appreciates me being there and aims to please me and have me enjoy my food and time there. Being hot is only skin deep. Good eye candy is nice but not my number one priority in a restaurant. A bar maybe!!

Usually my boyfriend is going out to dinner with me, so I'm not checking out the waiter (or waitress, for that matter!). As far as a tip goes, I am going to tip the waiter who keeps my glass full, brings me my food hot, and acts happy while doing it. The incapable waiter will not get much of anything, if at all, except a complaint to his manager!

that's coming type somebody contained in the hospitality business enterprise: Presentation is important. If served by using a nicely positioned-mutually, beautiful (as adversarial to a slovenly, poorly groomed) server, the overal experience would be plenty greater friendly. to boot, individuals are often greater powerfuble (and beneficial of their skills) whilst they sense they're beautiful and take exhilaration of their visual attraction. If served by using a gregarious, friendly, gracious, beautiful server, i will easily tip greater effective than if I have been served by using a slovenly, slouching, surly, cranky server. visual attraction is yet component to the full kit of hospitality. .....yet when I gained awful provider from a twiglet, the experience could be dwindled, and so could be the top. As a waiter, I continuously attempt to look, and act as beneficial as achieveable.

I look at the service I get no matter what they look like I have seen some pretty nice looking waiter waitress people give crummy service, my tip depends on the service I get.

Personality means more in the end. Even if you do the job great, if you are a pill or too talkative, it won't matter if you are Helen of Troy...you annoy me.

All things being equal, yes, it matters, but all things are NEVER equal and I find those that are just okay have a much better personality.

caveat: my wife is the exception to that rule.

It's kinda distracting checking out the waitstaff... It dosen't matter if they're good looking or not, if you think they're doing a good job then why not tip them...

Yes, both men and women. That doesn't mean I have sexual thoughts about them, or that I want them to be dressed in a hot outfit. It also doesn't mean that I discriminate and I don't like not-hot waiters. But they do add to the enjoyment of the evening!
