No. It may seem that way, because worms reproduce asexually via segmentation. Segmentation is the process of splitting into two, and so on. If you seem to always find two worms together, it's quite possible that the two worms used to be the same worm.

No, you are very unlikely to find an earthworm in a pear. You might find a maggot though if you were really lucky.
