I'm shy and lonely, and was just wondering.

Just get out and do more... I am shy but there are a lot of people who will initiate a conversation. Take it and run, but don't over do it.

I am not really shy, but lonely- My only consolation is my kids, cuddling, laughing, playing and such.. but anything romantic, HA! Esp with two kids and one more on the way, its harder to find a guy to deal with that baggage, only thing worse is if I had aids or something (I DON'T!!) haha if that got around town, damn, I would be DOOMED.

i have friends and i've told myself that my life doesn't depend on a relationship and that gives me a hell lot of confidence and it completely broke me out of being so shy. now i have a guy thanks 2 it. you need confidence!!
