I hate when that happens. I swear there must be a sock gremlin that steals all those socks.

Socks like to stick to other clothes, hiding inside of sweaters or getting stuck in the dryer wall, some don't even make it into the dryer and fall next to it and somehow finds it way under something. Try safety pinning your socks together first before drying that way they come out together every time.

Well the answer to that question is simple. The sock gnomes (cousin to the underpants gnome) come through a little door in the back of your dryer and take only one sock. This is so that you go out and buy new socks so that they can take all of the socks that they need, but they leave you enough socks or sock in this case, so that you can live on and not die of sock deprevation. To rid yourself of these gnomes, you must put vinegar all over your socks and dance around them singing boom lalalalala zzzzzzzzzz and then do a cool disco boogie. I hope you get rid of the gnomes soon :]

There is a small, gnome-like creature that lives behind the drum of the dryer. As soon as he smells that familiar sock smell, he squeezes through one of the many holes and has a feast. Just before the end of the drying cycle, he goes to his little outhouse (lint trap) and has a healthy movement. That lint you pull out is what's left of the missing sock!!

meaning you lost one million sock and 6 panties. Hmm exciting. i think of probable they may well be in the dryer vent on the exterior of the homestead. in simple terms pass slowly on your roof and open the vent. in the event that they are not there then probable they melted.
