Hi. You should check out the answers to a similar question that came up recently entitled "How do u start knitting, I want to know the first few steps and where i can get pattens online thankyou n ciao", posted on Friday under Hobbies and Crafts. I posted a very long answer (including a few links that you can use), so I am not going to repeat it here, but there were also some other good answers worth reading. In short, I personally prefer a good book to learn from rather than a website (again, check my answer). you can find many of them at your local yarn or craft store. I am including some links below that sell books, yarn, etc. and some of them also have instructions of how to knit. Also, use the search option on Yahoo!answers and look for "knitting" or "knit". You might be suprised at how many people ask similar questions. Then, in addition to benefiting from the anwers people will give you here, you can also pick and chose from a wealth of information elsewhere. If you check out my profile, you will see a few questions and answers related to knitting as well.

There are mixed comments on that's less complicated. some human beings discover crocheting super elementary and knitting purely baffles them. And vice versa (additionally there are those in between those extremes). in my view, I do the two - knitting and crocheting. As to what i hit upon easier, it rather relies upon on my temper, what variety of cloth i'm working with, and how long i've got been knitting/crocheting in a single sitting.

wow, well done if you learnt to knit from a book in the first place. That's tricky. By far the easiest way to learn is to get somebody to show you. Try this site learntoknit.lionbrand.com see if that helps

I signed up for the basic class at my local craft store. For about $30 I had yarn, needles, and hands-on instruction.
They offered an evening class it met two times - - on the same evening two weeks in a row.
I really recommend it!
