A lot s sports cars do not have spare tires. The gxp is considered a sports car with a lot of similar components to higher end GM sports cars like the corvette. Most come with optional reflatable tires, on star, and road side assistance if you have a flat. There is no room for a spare tire in the design becsue of the extra room needed for other components. you really shouldn't worry with changing your own tire on these cars so you dont mess anything up. Most have high performance brakes and other stuff that an un experiened person might just cause more harm. GM doesnt offer one because they want to make sure you go to their shop to get new tires or to get your fixed and they are right. it is the best way to extend the life of your car and not void your warranty. Uou can go to your local wheel dealer and they will sell you another wheel that will fit you r car if you have to have a spare. But god luck finding some place to put it. sports cars have small trunks and ride clsoe to the ground these things give you the performance you want if you are seriaous about buying a car like the GXP which has a v8 engine and the shifters on the steering wheel and all the other goodies. call road side assistance if you have a flat.

Some of GMs cars that do not come with a spare have a built in air compressor that is used to air up a flat tire, this is much easier for the owner to air up their own tire so they can get some where to fix it. It is much safer than installing a spare on the side off the road. If your car has this compressor it should be located in the trunk.

It comes with a Tire Pressure Monitor, a Tire Inflation Kit, 5 years of Roadside Assistance, and OnStar. Why do you need a spare? ;^)

That doesn't sound right.. check your owners manual . As someone else menioned, sometimes you get a tiny donut tire (good for about 500 miles and they look silly as heck on a car) and it is well hidden on the car.

otherwise I would invest in a few cans of 'fix a flat' type stuff.

There has to be a spare... at least a temporary "donut" spare.

Have you checked under the trunk floor? Sometimes they're hidden behind a trap door.

If you want to buy a full-sized spare, you're on your own, but where would you put it???

I was reading reviews and one person said the company opted to put in a tire inflation kit. This is probably to save room, but he said he put up a big fuss at the dealer and they found him a full size spare that would fit and they did. This link is where i found the information.

Theres no room in the trunk to fit a spare tire... maybe that's the reason.

well the impala ss has the same engine and platform and it uses the one tire size all the way around so take a look at the size on this car and try it on your car
