All piercings hurt, that's just how they are.

Depending on location, your tolerance for pain and the skill of the piercer, the pain you feel will be varied. You should get all piercings done by a professional body piercer. Most local tattoo shops have an in house body piercer and some piercer have their very own shop and business. Call around and ask. They will also be able to give you pricing on the piercings.

In my opinion and from what I've experienced, cartilage always hurts more than navel piercings...but that's just me.

Navel tends to be worse since its more prone to rejection and infections than other piercings, but if taken care of it shouldn't cause too many problems. Cartilage piercings take a while to heal as well, but usually don't cause too much trouble. Just keep the area clean and treat your piercings with care and you shouldn't have problems.

all depends on the location of the peircing....

The naval really doesn't hurt, but takes a long time to heal, and is prone to infection, and you need to wear loose fitting pants, nothing that will irritate you...

As for the cartilage, if its the top of the ear it hurts somewhat...if its the cartilage bump near the hole of your ear, that hirts ALOT...
Those heal more quickly than the naval, but still prone to infection, so make sure you clean them or any peircing according to the directions they give you...

Your best place to go is a tattoo parlor, and make sure that the environment and tools they use are sterile.

One more thing...if you ever get an infection, make a paste with crushed BAYER (only BAYER) and water, and clean the piercing with that...it will help...

Haven't had my naval pierced but the upper ear hurts like crazy. I found it more painful than getting a tattoo. Just the regular ear piercing on the ear lobe was nothing though.

It depends on your pain tolerance. i had both of them done and I did not think that they hurt very much. You can go to any piercing parlor (assuming you are 18+) and then get it done. I hope that this helps

is dependent wherein you get it for your ear. if its the lobe or the higher ear, that's cartilage. the ear lobe hurts not up to the cartilage. you might ask for numbing cream. i bought my proper ear performed and it harm (i used to be four yrs historical), so i requested for numbing cream for my left ear and that i couldnt consider a factor. and sure...i remeber that very day. ask numbing cream. it really works however after it wears off, there will nonetheless be ache, however its valued at it
