They are not pimples as some have mentioned, however, they are normal and will go away on their own. They are actually exposed sweat glands called milia (my sister looked this up - she's an RN) that will retract eventually. What people are right about is not to mess with them. or try to pop them. Just gently wash your baby as you would normally. Most babies lose them around a month old, but my baby was at least 2 months before hers went away.

They're just pimples. All the hormones you have surging through your body are passed on to your child. Did you know some newborns also have enlarged breasts and females may even have a false menstruation?

Picking the pimples or using cream will just make 'em worse. They go away, don't worry. Sometimes infants will get a few more when they go through a growth spurt.

ps: someone suggested Hydrocortizone - I don't think I'd use that for what you're describing.

pps: someone said these aren't pimples, they're milia. Babies can get both acne and milia, they both cause blemishes or pimples. Check out wikipedia for definitions of both.

There really is nothing that gets rid of baby acne (my daughters face is covered in it right now).
My dr said you can put breast milk on them and leave it there for an hour then wash it off with mild Dove soap to help kill the enzymes. But mainly its caused by hormones and there isnt much you can do for it.

Its called baby acne and is completely normal.
You can try baby vaseline but I think its better to leave them alone rather than bother them.. They go away on their own its just a matter of time.

Just wash your baby as normal and leave the bumps alone. They will go away.

Don't squeeze them like you would a zit because it could leave scars.

It is totally normal...this, too, shall pass.
