I can only think of giving them a family board game - I can't think of many things to give that would be for the whole family, but I know there must be a lot of ideas out there...

You know -- a BOARD GAME is an EXCELLENT IDEA -- it is something that the WHOLE FAMILY can sit down to and enjoy a night every week -- and ....

This Long-Term Single Parent did just that with her Two Disabled Children on a Regular Basis!

If you can afford to try giving the kids all $25 gift cards. It should total $125. If you can't afford to do that then you could send a Christmas movie like (elf) and a bunch of goodies for them to enjoy while watching it. Kids of all ages love the Christmas candies and cookies. Christmas is really for kids so don't worry so much about the adults. They will understand if you are on a tight budget. They want what most parents do and that's for the kids to be made to feel thought of and special. There are alot of great family games out there to choose from as well. There is also a dvd version of Clue.

Depends on how much money you want to spend on each kid. If lets say perhaps you want to spend 20 bucks for each kid then I would suggest getting them a gift card for the mall.

Or then for the girls you can always get nice clothes or knick knacks (purses, muffler, gloves) like from china town or conway

For the boys you can always get the $14.99 playstation games at best buy if they have playstation that is. or you can get them a cd player, computer games, dvd's all these things cost under 20 bucks. just go to best buy and see.

I like the idea of making a movie night basket. My aunt loves getting those popcorn tins. You could also offer to babysit the kids for a night so that your brother and his wife could go out. I'm sure they dont get alot of 'alone time' with 5 kids.

Make up a family basket with a big bottle of their favorite soda, microwave popcorn, chocolate bars, and a good movie. You could even put all of it in a big popcorn bowl to go along with the theme! It's a family night in a bowl!

Take the 5 kids for the weekend (take them camping or to an indoor water park or whatever) and let you brother and his wife have a quiet weekend alone. Priceless!
