I'm new to women publicly praying in prayer circles and that sort of thing. I grew up in a denomination where women only prayed publicly in the infrequent event that we gathered without men. I think women are socialized not to make trouble, not to be too much trouble, not to ask for too much. There are exceptions, of course, but most nice church ladies have been socialized that way. I think "just" can be taken in two ways: Lord, I don't want to ask for too much, so I'll just ask for the least amount; Lord, I know that it doesn't require too much effort on Your part to do great things, so "just" is enough. There are a couple of times when those who believed in Jesus said, "If I just _____, Jesus will heal me/my loved one." It may be drawing on those Biblical examples as well.
